I recently picked up the latest release from the Band of Horses, Cease To Begin, in vinyl and was surprised to find a note from Sub Pop. In this note they thanked me for my purchase and offered a free download of mp3's of the same album in some back alley of their site.

I can now listen to the warm and dreamy melody of No One's Gonna Love You through the antiquated sound of my suitcase style turntable or experience the crystal clear hand-clapping rhythms of The General Specific on a sunny drive along the coast. Thank you, Sub Pop, for thinking of those of us who still enjoy vinyl but need our mp3 fix to get us through the day.
